Joan Kaufman, ASID, IIDA
Project Director
Joan Kaufman founded the firm in 1990. The firm was incorporated in 1991. Joan has a B.S.
in Interior Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a B.F.A. in
Art History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has completed 8 hours
of graduate Architecture studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Joan worked for
several architecture firms since 1995 prior to founding IPD. She is a member of the
American Society of Interior Designers. She is also a member of the International Interior
Design Association and the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Kathy Patton
Architectural Consultant
Kathy is a licensed Architect in the State of Illinois and has a Bachelor of Architecture
degree from the University of Kansas. She works with the project team to offer technical
expertise. With a background in architecture, Kathy brings a wealth of knowledge to each
project. She helps develop the designs and prepare construction documents so they can be
built to the client's expectations and our high standards for quality in both
craftsmanship and design.
Ciara Quirk
Designer & Vendor Relations
Ciara adds depth to the team with her design
training as well as working with vendors to maintain an
extensive resource library. She ensures customer
satisfaction by working closely with vendors. She works with
vendors regarding order placement, scheduling and tracking.
Donna Kane
Bookkeeper
Donna processes orders, invoices and payments. She works on budgets and all aspects
related to costs on both the client side and vendor side.
