The client desired the feeling of Sunny Florida for their remodeled space. Skylights, raised beam ceilings, transom window and glass doors all help created to a light airy feeling.

Kitchen - The designer doubled the cabinet storage, added an island and a peninsular bar area. The ceiling was raised and a wood beam added to coordinate with the maple glazed cabinets and add warmth and drama. Under cabinet and up lighting add ambience to a highly efficient work area. The island is designed for seating and cooking and includes warming drawers. Antique cabinetry keeps the space light and airy.

Sunroom - Skylights add light and interest in the sunroom area. Slate tile adds interest yet retains warmth combined with natural grass cloth window treatments , granite counter tops and accent lighting. The space was transformed from a basic 1945 kitchen to an inviting, contemporary kitchen with light, high ceilings and spectacular finishes. The views are on three sides for maximum sunlight.

Sunroom Detail - Vines and accents of red highlight the celadon green fabrics in this sun-filled space. The homeowner enjoys the space year round with radiant heat floors, skylights and windows on three sides. In a wintery Chicago climate, this room is the favorite get-away space!

Master Bath - This fully accessible shower includes grab bars, a built-in stone bench for seating, multiple shower heads and a spray system and is large enough for two people. State of the art features and aging in place were the considerations for this up to date bath design.

Master Bedroom - The bedroom was color coordinated to work with the Master bath. The finishes were coordinated for a complete update that streamlines the home with the addition. Custom bedding and draperies coordinate with existing furnishings to create a soft, relaxing, yet elegant space.
